It’s not actually that harmful considering it’s a form of wax but it will dry out your lips and is a pain to get off

The first one works I did it but you can use cold or hot it does not have to be hot and you don't have to wait one minute it take like 10 sec and I'm not exaggerating it take 10 seconds I did it for eyeliner
